“Before Amber and Adrian started Taekwondo ATA Karate Classes, they used to be really shy, and whenever they had to do a school project and talk in front of the class, you could barely hear them. Both of them were really nervous. But, since they started with the ATA [Karate] and the Leadership classes both can talk in front of the class and it has helped their grades.”

Respect

Respect is a basic quality that every individual should have. Karate training makes kids realize the value of age, experience, worth, and rank. Higher the rank of a person in a karate school, indicates that the person is more knowledgeable and worthy of respect. This will teach the kids to treat people with respect and dignity even outside the school.

Listening and focusing skills

Lessons by karate instructors are aimed at improving the concentration skills of a person. An increase in concentration implies an increase in your listening skills. Being a good listener is important to carry forward a conversation. It is not only required that you should speak, but it is also essential that you listen and give the other person a chance to speak. This is achieved by practicing karate. An increase in concentration also implies an increased ability to focus on the important things in life. You will obtain clarity of thoughts and you will understand what to focus on and what to discard. Making decisions will also be much easier with an ability to focus. This helps kids make good choices in both classroom and matters outside the school.
